Sudeb is experienced in a variety of civil and regulatory matters, including contract drafting and litigation, landlord-tenant law, contractor issues, licensing, and creditor-debtor actions. He also has many years of experience in immigration law, representing clients for citizenship applications, visa petitions, consular processing, immigration court hearings, mandamus actions to order application processing, and appeals of decisions.
Sudeb graduated with honors from law school at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., where he was an editor of the school’s Law Review. While in law school, he served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Loren A. Smith at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and as a law clerk to immigration judges at Headquarters Immigration Court in Falls Church, Virginia. His experiences in chambers at trial courts provided Sudeb with valuable insight into case research and the preparation of written judicial decisions. Sudeb also served as a research assistant to Professor Kathryn Kelly in updating her well-known textbook on tort law. Before going to law school, Sudeb developed software applications in the communications, internet, and aviation industries, and earned a private pilot’s license in his spare time.
Sudeb honed his trial skills by representing hundreds of clients in misdemeanor and serious traffic cases in Virginia, and as court-appointed counsel to persons detained for Title 37.2 behavioral health hearings. He continues to serve in a court-appointed role in the 20th Judicial District of Virginia for Title 37.2 hearings.
